Joann Nadine Vogrin, a devoted caregiver and beloved member of her family, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born on May 2, 1932, in Beatrice, Nebraska, and spent her final years residing in Paragould at the Green House Cottages of Belle Meade, where she developed everlasting friendships with the loving staff while receiving the most compassionate care available.
Joann dedicated her professional life to serving others, beginning her career as a secretary in the healthcare industry before her heart led her to become a "house mother" for adults with mental handicaps. Her commitment to care and compassion defined her existence, as she embraced every opportunity to support and nurture those around her. In addition to her professional endeavors, Joann found solace in her Catholic faith, which imbued her life with purpose and conviction.
Though she never had children of her own, Joann was a dedicated aunt, whose love knew no bounds. She is survived by her nephew, Doug Plunkett; her nieces, Rikki Ross and Mary Plunkett; as well as her cherished great nephews, Jess Plunkett and Jason Plunkett, and great nieces, Kristan Partlow, Terri Ross, Kerri Ross, and Allison Plunkett. Joann was preceded in death by her parents, George and Virginia Pantier Plunkett; her sister, Georgene; her brother, George "Jr" Plunkett; and her nephew, Greg Plunkett.
Her journey was marked by kindness, unwavering dedication to others, and a deep-seated love that will continue to resonate through the lives she touched.
Joann Nadine Vogrin will be remembered not only for her gentle spirit but also for her relentless compassion. May she rest in peace, forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
