Joanna W. H. Mutschelknaus, 86, of Dover went home to be the Lord on Friday, April 11, 2025 in the Park Village Health Care Center at Dover.
She was born on February 3, 1939 in Canal Lewisville, Ohio to the late Harold and Opal West Simmons. Joanna was also preceded in death by her husband, David M. "Mike" Mutschelknaus on January 29, 2018; daughter, Rhonda Mutschelknaus; brothers, Jerry, Harold and Bobby Simmons, and her sister, Mary Zimmerman
She retired from Smurfitt-Stone Container in New Philadelphia and had also worked for Snyder Manufacturing for many years. Joanna was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Dover and the Christian Children's League. She loved making crafts and spending time in her garden.
A loving and caring mother and grandmother, Joanna will be sadly missed by her daughter, Shelly Nordine of Dover; brother, Tom Simmons of Zanesville; grandchildren, Nathan Mutschelknaus, Faith, Miriam and Sky Nordine; and a great grandson, David Mutschelknaus.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 18th starting at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with her daughter, Shelly Nordine and Rev. David Wing officiating. Interment will be in the West Lawn Cemetery at Baltic. The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
