Joanne Frances Beauvais, 93, of Escanaba, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at LakeHouse in Escanaba.
She was born in Escanaba on October 4,1930, the daughter of Lillian (Peller) and Jacob Bink. Joanne attended St. Joseph High School, graduating class of 1948.
On April 13th, 1953, Joanne married Alfred Francis Beauvais at St. Joseph Church in Escanaba.
Joanne spent most of her life as a homemaker but was also employed at the Michigan Bell Telephone Company for eight years.
Joanne passionately played bingo and was a devoted member of St. Joseph and St. Patrick's Parish.
She is survived by her children, Glenn (Sheri) of Battle Creek, Richard (Janet) of Rapid River, and Brian (Chris) of Escanaba; grandchildren, Tyler and Cori; great-grandchildren, Haley, Jacob, Lola, and Landon; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her husband Al; daughter, Marilyn; sisters, Lillian, Margaret, Marion, Helen, and Geraldine; and brother, Jack.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3rd from 10 – 11:30 a.m. at Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St. Escanaba, MI 49829. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow 12 p.m. at St. Joseph and St. Patrick Church with Rev. Tim Ferguson officiating.
Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
