Joanne T. (Campagna) Evans

Age 84, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, January 26, 2026 peacefully at her home in Oneida after

declining health surrounded by her loving family. She was met at Heaven's Gate by her loving husband of 57 years, Scott, who she married on Saturday, May 12, 1962 at the Oneida Full Gospel Church, Scott F. Evans who predeceased her January 15, 2019. Joanne was born March 7, 1941 in Oneida, NY the daughter of the late Jasper and Sarah (Bruno) Campagna. Her sister, Marsha Rose, niece, Michelle Wimett, step mother Marian (Daniels) Campagna and beloved aunt Josephine Dutch also preceded her in death. Joanne leaves behind her two loving daughters: Yvette Evans of Oneida, NY; Stephanie Tryon with husband Ron of Elmira, NY; 6 adored grandchildren: Nicholas Dittler of Canandaigua, NY; Marissa Williamson of Oneida, NY ; Alex Williamson with wife Courtney of Souderton, PA; Michael Tryon with wife Eden of Elmira, NY; Laura Tryon (Sam Weigle) of Melbourne, FL: Joshua Tryon of Elmira, NY; beloved brother, Michael Campagna with his wife Linda and their children, Michael Campagna and Charlene Chapman; step sisters, Sharon Daniels-Duerr, Sandra (Daniels) Lundgren and Debbie (Daniels) Ward; brother-in-law, Peter Lee "Mutt" Evans with his wife Mildred "Micki" of Solos, ME; cousins, Vincent (Barbara) Candido and Vicki (Alex) Jones all of California; along with other extended family members as well as many friends and her church families. Family and friends are invited to visit Emmanuel Community Church, 237 E. Miller St., Elmira, NY 14904 on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm for her visitation. Joanne's funeral service will follow the visitation at 5 pm. Pastor Matthew Bedzyk will officiate. Visitation will also be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the Oneida Full Gospel Assembly, 350 Maple Street Oneida, NY 13421 with a Celebration of Joanne's life after the visitation at 1 pm. Pastor Adnan Tadros will officiate. Interment will be held in the spring of 2026 in the Valley View Cemetery Oneida, NY with the Walter J. Kent Funeral Home assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the Emmanuel Community Church or the Oneida Full Gospel Assembly in memory of Joanne. The Evans family wish to express their sincere love and appreciation to Joann's caregivers for the outstanding kindness, compassion and initiative they gave to their mother. They are: Lori Bruno, Nicki Bugsbee, Nola Peters, Kimberly Campbell, Norie Ingraham, Laura Braugher, Lucy Forrest, Joyce LaFever, Siobhan Stone and Laura Fleming. Joanne was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a former member of the Pentecostal Tabernacle and Elmira Christian Center and served in various areas of ministries. In 2008, she was led to serve with her husband Scott at the Oneida Full Gospel Assembly and served there until her health began to decline. Joanne modeled her life after Christ. This was very evident in the love, kindness and compassion she displayed to all.
