Joanne Hackwelder Obituary
Joanne Jean Hackwelder of Surfside Beach, South Carolina passed away on June 13, 2022.
Joanne was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 25, 1937, to the late Ralph and Catherine Pantone. She was the widow of John York Hackwelder. She was a retired licensed practical nurse and served as volunteer firewoman. During her retirement she became an avid baker and member of St. Michael's Parish and the Sons & Daughters of Italy.
Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Michell Hackwelder, Katherine O'Hara (Daniel) and Celia Pulver (Gary); three grandchildren, Daniel O'Hara (Erin), Shawn O'Hara (Lisa) and Heather O'Hara; and two great grandchildren.
A private celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
We would like to acknowledge the kind and compassionate care given to our mother by the staff at NHC HealthCare and Caris Hospice.
Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, is assisting the family.
