Coach Myers will be missed tremendously by the entire Sharks community, especially so by the B-team football boys. My son, Logan, had the honor of being coached by him for the past two years and has learned so much from him and looked up to him. These boys were all wrecked when they learned of Coach Myers´ passing. They were sad for the loss of a great coach, someone they knew and loved, but they were also sad for the loss his family was going through as well. These boys learned to work together on the field and off , they learned what it means to be a team thanks to Coach Myers, and they used that to come together and support one another, to be there through the loss they were feeling and hurting from, to make each other stronger together. I am thankful for the time Coach Myers gave to these boys season after season, the instruction and guidance he provided, and the great memories they´ve made with him. Football will be not be the same without him now, but these boys will continue to go out there every-time and try to make him proud. Rest peacefully Coach Myers

Sending our heartfelt condolences to the Myers family during this difficult time. Thank you for sharing Coach with us.

To the Myers Family: We are so deeply sorry for your loss. It was heartbreaking to hear the news of Dave´s passing. It was a pleasure knowing Coach Myers. He was an incredible person, Coach, and mentor to the St.James football and basketball team. Alex had the pleasure of coaching with him the past two years, and he feels like there is still so much more he wishes he could learn from him. We know firsthand that the kids surely miss him already. We are sending our prayers for comfort and peace at this very difficult time. Our deepest sympathies, Coach Alex Gergits and Ms. Shayna Scheehle at SJM.

Charlie, JoAnn and Family and extended family, I offer my sincere and heartfelt condolences for your loss. Growing up as Clemson child in Tamaqua, each of us were wedged in-between or beside a Myers. Dave was an extraordinary athlete, student, and somewhat of an idol to us younger kids and a wonderful big brother to the youngest Myers, Jo Ann who I had the pleasure of Growing up with in the South Ward. So many memories were made on the courts at the South Ward Playground, the Bungalow, Locust Lake and in the family home on Penn Street. My heart is broken for Cindy, their children and grandchildren. I pray you will find peace in knowing the positive impact he had on so many, and though your grief is extraordinarily heavy at this time, know so is God's love and grace. Thinking and praying for all of you.

I´m still having a hard time processing that Dave is gone. I met Dave in college at Millersville University and we remained friends as we moved on with our lives. This past November we went to Columbia, SC to watch Costal Carolina play USC and Dave hadn´t changed a bit since college he was still full of laughter and energy. Dave was a true friend and he will be sorely missed.

My cousin Dave and I grew up as each other´s shadow. We played football next to one another for years and I enjoyed watching him excel in basketball at Tamaqua High. I´ll miss him like a brother. I still can´t believe he´s gone. RIP Dave.

Dear Myers Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Dave's passing and are praying for peace and comfort during this difficult time. Both of our sons, Hayden and Landon, were fortunate to be coached by Coach Myers at St. James Middle School. They often remarked of his passion, work ethic, honesty, and love of competition. Coach Myers has had a very positive impact on both of our son's lives. And for this, we will be eternally grateful.
