Joanne Lupone

Joanne Lupone, 86, died on November 21, 2022 in Pensacola, Florida after a short illness.
Joanne was born in 1936 in Dunkirk, New York, to John Acuto and Marian Martinelli. She graduated from St Mary's Academy in 1954; and subsequently earned a two-year business degree from Bryant and Stratton Business Institute in Buffalo, New York in 1956. She commenced working as an accountant for a lumber company in Dunkirk, New York.
In 1957 she married Ensign Donald Lupone, her husband of 64 years, at the Sanford, Florida Naval Air Station. Joanne started raising a family in 1961 in Schenectady, New York, where she and her husband remained until 1974, when the family transferred to Pensacola, Florida.
After remaining as a home maker for nineteen years, she re-entered the work force as a secretary for the Grace Lutheran Church in 1979 and remained in that position for fourteen years until she retired in 1993.
Joanne is survived by her husband, three children: Gregory (Silvia), Valerie Page, Michael, a grandson, Neil Arrich (Taylor); three great grandsons, Adrien, Hayden, and Payton, as well as numerous cousins in New York State.
Visitation will be on Wednesday December 14, 2022, at 1:00 PM with Memorial services starting at 1:30 PM at St Paul Catholic church followed by internment of her ashes at Barrancas National Memorial Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, Florida at a later date.
