Sharon Hollis Welborn, 70, was born on February 1, 1955, to Tracy and Tommie Hollis. Sharon passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family in Thompson's Station, Tennessee, on Thursday, November 6, 2025, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with breast cancer.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Paul Martz. She is survived by her loving husband, Franklin Welborn; her four beloved children, Jessica Talley (Kris), Kyle McWilliams (Paulina), Franklin "Buddy" Welborn (Kayla), and Thomas Welborn; and her treasured grandchildren Jackson Talley, Kendall Talley, Kerrington Talley, and Sophia McWilliams. She is also survived by her siblings Larry Hollis (Linda) and Donna Martz, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Sharon was a Christian first and foremost. She loved her husband, Frank, fiercely and faithfully, filling her role as a military wife with honor, resilience, and grace. As a devoted stay-at-home mother, she poured her life into raising her children, caring for her family with quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and a deep sense of pride. She was a woman who built her home on love - steady, gentle, and always present.
She enjoyed antiquing, hosting dinner parties, traveling, and decorating for Christmas. For many years, she and her dear friend Marilyn Johnson operated an antique booth at Sheffield Antiques Mall before Sharon and Frank moved to Middle Tennessee to be closer to their grandchildren, whom she adored.
Sharon's legacy is one of love, dedication, and steadfast devotion. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held at Waters & Hibbert Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on December 8, 2025. The memorial service will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by a graveside service at Barrancas National Cemetery located at NAS Pensacola.
