Joanne Nicklas Obituary
Joanne Nicklas, formally of Connoquenessing, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 3, 2025.
She was the daughter of the late John and Marie Plaisted. Born in Butler, PA on February 17, 1942, she was a loving wife, mother, seamstress, and friend. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in PA and Grace Fellowship Church in GA.
She is survived by daughters, Shiryl (Tim), Renee (Neil), and Annie; a son, Robb; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack(Peg) and Ron(Jan); and Karla and her two children, Marlee and Hunter.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Robert (Butch) Nicklas; Helen (Mom) Janicki; John Nicklas; and nephews, Larry and Brian Nicklas.
Thank you to the staff of Westminster Canterbury for loving and caring for our precious Mom.
The family is planning a memorial service in Pennsylvania for later this summer.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Association.
