Joanne Otranto Pendley, passed away on August 3, 2024, at the age of 66, following a brief illness. Born on April 2, 1958, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of Arthur and Patricia Otranto. The family relocated to Rockledge, Florida. Joanne met the love of her life, Kenneth Pendley in high school. They married on December 27, 1975, and enjoyed 48 years of love and devotion.
In 1986, Joanne and Kenneth moved to Blairsville, Georgia, where they established Busy Bee Printing, which they operated until 2019. They then split their time between Georgia and Florida. Joanne's life was marked by her deep love for her family and her joy in supporting their interests, especially her grandchildren's activities. She loved watching them wrestle, play football, basketball, baseball, cheer and dance. She was always in the stands cheering them on with great pride in their accomplishments.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Otranto, her mother in law, Peggy Pendley and her brother in law, James Daughtery. Joanne is survived by her mother Patricia Otranto; her husband Kenneth Pendley; children Grant Pendley and Kristy (Joshua) Wallace; grandchildren Damon, Micah, Olivia, and Connor Wallace, Brittany Pendley and siblings Christine Daughtery, Frank (Vicky) Otranto, Richie (Darcy) Otranto, and Joseph Otranto, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be greatly missed but the love she shared will continue to live on in our memories forever.
Family and friends will gather at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home, 5400 Village Drive, Rockledge, FL on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockledge, FL Friday, August 9, 2024 beginning at 9:30 am with a reception gathering immediately following at Cocoa-Rockledge Garden Club, 1493 S Fiske Blvd, Rockledge, Florida.
