It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joanne Peterson, who passed away May 21, 2025, at the age of 64.
Joanne was a spirited soul- feisty in the best way, with a quick wit and a heart that overflowed with kindness. Her world revolved around family: her parents, siblings, children, and grandchildren. She always put others first and never let anyone leave her home hungry, especially not without dessert. There was always something sweet on the table and something sweeter in her smile. If she wasn't dancing to music in the kitchen, she was enjoying the beach or boating.
Faith was her compass, guiding her with strength and serenity through every chapter of life. She read her bible every day.
We'll miss her deeply- her spirit, her sass, her strength. She is survived by her husband, Chuck; her children: Cherish, Chuck, Nick, Landon, Laila, and Leah; her grandchildren: Joslyn, Caidance, Owen, and Constance; and her siblings: Tommy, Peggy (Joe), Janet (George), Sarah (Bruce), Brooke, and Robert.
Joanne's funeral will be held at Trahan Family Funeral Home, 6539 Trammel Dr., Milton, Florida 32570 on Thursday, May 29, 2025. Public viewing starts at 11:00, and the funeral service at noon. A celebration of her life will follow at the Peterson home.
