Joanne C. Pyatak passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022. She was 75. Born in "Ironbound" section of Newark, NJ, she lived in Berkeley Heights, Butler and Kinnelon before moving to Lebanon in 2017.
Joanne is the daughter of the late Salvatore and Josephine Ray.
After receiving her High School diploma, she attended and graduated from Berkeley Secretarial School, Berkeley Heights. Joanne worked as an Administrative Assistant for Foster Wheeler, Inc., Livingston, New Jersey for many years. She was active in supporting the Rotary Club of Butler, NJ through her husband John who was a Paul Harris Fellow. Together they supported Rotary infrastructure projects around the Globe.
In 1976, Joanne and her dear husband, John Raoul Pyatak were married by the Tall Ships of Operation Sail during the Bi-Centennial celebration of America. John passed away in 2015. She is survived by her brother Richard Ray; her two sons, Robert Pyatak along with his wife Laura and Michael James Consales; her beloved grandchildren Callie and Riley Dey; Adem Cengiz and Nicholas Consales.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8 from 4 to 8 pm in the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, 781 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains, NJ with a service in the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11 am. Cremation will be private. In memory of Joanne, please make donations to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Envelopes are available at the Funeral Home.
