Joseph G. Pyatak 73 years old passed away peacefully on July17, 2023 at home in Toms River.
Joseph was born on August 30th 1949 in Paterson, NJ and his family lived in Rutherford, NJ for many years then the family moved to Nashua, NH and then after many years back to New Jersey and settled in Toms River. He was predeceased by his parents his Father, Joseph in 1971 and his mother, Julia in 2000.
He was a proud 1971 graduate of the University of New Haven where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He was also a graduate in 1969 from Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston with perfect attendance with an associate Electrical Engineering Degree. He graduated from Nashua High School, Nashua, New Hampshire in 1967, and in his senior year he was President of a Junior Achievement Company. He also enjoyed construction and started his electrical career working for an electrical contractor during his senior year on Saturdays and during the summer months as well during his college days.
He was an outside salesman at Good Friend Electric Supplies, Toms River, for over 45 years, as well as their energy consultant. A profession in which he excelled and was most proud of the title Director of the Green Lights Energy Division. His enthusiasm in his long career was always helping others to solve their problems and doing his best for a solution that worked for everyone and it felt so good accomplishing the goal. His accounts took him all over the state in NJ working on various projects and supplying their electrical needs and was so proud of the results he accomplished.
He always loved the Jersey Shore especially in retirement with so many activities especially in the summer months with fishing and gardening and the Jersey Shore beaches. In the Fall and Winter months he would travel to Fort Lauderdale to attend his favorite team the Miami Dolphins and was a full season ticket holder attending all the home games. He also enjoyed Key West for fishing and relaxing during the winter months.
He was faithful and proud member of the Saint Luke Catholic Parish in Toms River and made many contributions to help the church and others.
He is survived by his beloved brother Mark Pyatak and his wife Pam of Howell, NJ, his nephew Mark Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Jacksonville, Florida and his great niece and nephew Adeline and Mark III.
Visiting will be Tuesday, July 25th for 9:00am until 10:00am at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home 2482 Church Rd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Luke Roman Catholic Church 1674 Old Freehold Road, Toms River, NJ at 10:30am. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River.
