Mrs. Joanne Gore Sarvis, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC. Born on January 2, 1936, she was the daughter of the late, Dave Needham Gore and the late Amanda Cletus Edwards Gore. Mrs. Sarvis farmed with her husband for many years and then worked with People's Federal Bank until her retirement. In her personal life, she was a longtime member of Dogwood Hill Baptist Church where she was a faithful member of the choir for over sixty years.
Survivors include her loving children; Stan (Roni) Sarvis; daughter, Amy (Junior) Sarvis Mincey and sister, Peggy Gore Branch; grandchildren, Caleb (Morgan) Sarvis and Ethan Sarvis.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sarvis was predeceased by her loving husband, Dave Hubert Sarvis; her three brothers, W.L. Gore, Norman Gore and Nick Gore and her sister, Erma Wright.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to the staff of McLeod Hospice House for their compassionate care during this difficult time.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Dogwood Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Floyd officiating. Committal services will follow at Twin City Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Dogwood Hill Baptist Church. The family requests that memorials be made to Dogwood Hill Baptist Church, 1040 Mt.
