Mrs. Iris Ruth King Huggins, age 95, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at McLeod Loris Hospital. Born on August 17, 1930, in Loris, SC, she was the daughter of the late Delton Thomas King and the late Maggie Carter King. Mrs. Huggins was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, dedicated homemaker, and was a faithful member of Green Sea Baptist Church.

Survivors include her loving children, Boyd Clayton Huggins, Jr., Teresa Ruth Huggins (Judy Bagby), Ira Daniel Huggins, and Alan King Huggins (Vicky S.); granddaughter, Victoria Alana Huggins; brother, Carroll Buck "C.B." King; sisters, Maxine King Johnson, Margaret King Lee, and Gloria King Reaves Hayes (Larry); and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Huggins was predeceased by her husband, Boyd Clayton Huggins, Sr.; and four siblings, J.D. King, Allene King Able, Thomas "Bert" King, and Andreanna King Holland.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to Deloris Jordan and Catherine Davis, as well as a host of others for their compassionate care throughout the years.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Green Sea Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Brust officiating. Committal services will follow at Green Sea Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Green Sea Baptist Church Fellowship Hall immediately following the committal service.
