PEMBROKE – Joanne Watts, 74, of Pembroke, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Ridgewood Center in Bedford following a period of declining health.
She was born on May 29, 1951, in Manchester, daughter of the late Gilles and Marieanne (Mathieu) Arguin. Joanne was educated in the local schools and went on to New Hampshire College to earn her masters of science in business education.
She worked for many years at Pembroke Academy before she was forced to retire due to health conditions. She enjoyed crafting, knitting, crocheting, and making pine needle baskets among other crafts. She liked gardening, fishing and enjoyed the outdoors. She was also a full-time caregiver for her daughter, Lisa.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harold "Harry" Watts in 2012.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Watts, brothers, Guy Arguin and his wife Michelle and C. Andy Arguin and his wife Cynthia as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
In accordance with her wishes she will be quietly interred with her husband at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at the convenience of her family.
