Joao Afonso Obituary
Joao worked as a granite cutter for New England Stone for many years.
He was the loving brother of Ana Mota and her husband Jorge, Maria Almeida, Joseph Afonso and his wife Rosa, and the late John Soares and Judite Afonso. He is also survived by his nephews Michael Mota and his wife Jodi, Joseph Afonso and his wife Jazmin; nieces Nancy Bessette and her husband Eric, Christine Almeida; great nieces and nephews Sabrina Bessette, Kayla Bessette, Tanya Almeida, Sophia Afonso, Michael Mota, Lola Mota, and great-great niece Melina Macomber.
His funeral will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland. Burial will take place in Mount Cavalry Cemetery, Cumberland. VISITING HOURS are Thursday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
