Jocelyne Marie Soderberg

Jocelyne Marie Soderberg, age 76, of Myrtle Beach, passed away February 27, 2024 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born June 28, 1947 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the only child of the late Richard & Martha Poiret Boyer. Her family came to the United States when Jocelyne was 13 years old and they settled in Connecticut. She met Robert Soderberg at Sterling Ski Club in Stratford, CT and they married on September 4, 1970 and were blessed with two sons and one daughter in their marriage.
Jocelyne was employed with the Catholic Church Archdiocese of Bridgeport, CT where she had many roles include religion teacher. Before retirement, she worked as a teller in the banking industry. She was also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa sorority both in Connecticut and South Carolina. Jocelyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was also a lover of animals, especially pigs and cows. She was an avid reader and growing up in Canada, her native language is Canadian French. She also had a love for traveling, camping, and entertaining of her free time and her favorite color was yellow.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert Soderberg; two sons, Erik Soderberg and his wife Tina, and Mark Soderberg and his wife Catherine; one daughter, Nadine Soderberg; and 2 grandchildren, Aiden Soderberg and Zachery Soderberg.
A memorial service will be held 5:00 PM, Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.
