Jodi B. Smith, age 53, of Nekoosa, Wis., passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, December 8, 2025, at home.
A memorial service will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at First English Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. Pastor Cheryl Davis will officiate the service. Visitation will be held at the church from 11am until the time of service.
Jodi was born three months early on June 26, 1972, to Jonathan and Joanne Smith. She was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at the age of one.
Jodi went to special education all her life. She had a part time job at ODC and enjoyed Connections Day Center three times a week. She resided at Antonia Segovia home for most of her life. Antonia became Jodi's second mother.
Jodi is survived by her mother, Joanne Votava; brother, Joel J. Smith of La Crosse, Wis.; stepsisters, Roberta (Christopher) Naujok of Hudson, Wis., Jennifer (Darin) Dye of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Jodi is preceded in death by her father, Jonathan A. Smith; stepfather, Robert "Bob" Votava; twin sister, Jennifer Marie Smith; grandparents, Barbara and John Reau and Harold and Marie Smith; three special uncles, Daniel Smith, Thomas Reau and Paul Reau.
A special thank you to Aspirus Hospice at Home and to the Inclusa Staff that have helped her through the years. Especially, Antonia Segovia for her devoted love and care for Jodi.
