Joe Larry Foggie age 69 of 307 Heritage Hill Drive, Seneca S.C. passed Sunday January 5, 2025 at his home. He was born July 10, 1955 in Anderson County to the late Wade Franklin Foggie, and Sue Ellen Scott Foggie.
Joe loved his daughter and family dearly and they loved and cherished him in return. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing with his brother Waymon and reminiscing about the good old days.
Joe was a graduate of T.L. Hannah High School, after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. After leaving active duty, he continued his career in the US Army reserve where he retired as a Staff Sgt.
Joe spent the majority of his career in the textile industry. He was employed by Schneider Electric Square D, for several years. In the latter years of his career, Joe was employed with Allied Universal Security Services where he was well respected and admired by his managers and co-workers. He was known as a hard worker and one that was always willing to go above and beyond to assist his team members.
He leaves to mourn his passing one daughter, Talia Brown of Anderson S.C., one granddaughter and two grandsons of Anderson, SC. Three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren all of Anderson S.C. Six sisters Linda (Jimmy) Johnson, Brenda Witcher (The late Vincent Witcher) Sandy Foggie Chapman, Angelia J. Foggie, and one brother, Sonny T. Foggie, all of Anderson, S.C. Vickie E. Foggie of Dacula, Georgia, Audrey (Darryl) Kelly of Huntersville, North Carolina and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Waymon Franklin Foggie.
The Family is at the home of Brenda Witcher (sister) 222 Green Meadow Circle. Anderson. SC 29626.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Asbury Memorial Baptist Church, 1505 Benjamin Street, Anderson, SC 29625
Interment will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 2 p.m. at MJ Dolly Veteran's Cemetery, 140 Inway Dr. Anderson, SC 29621
