Mr. Joe Sherril Hammonds

Mr. Joe Sherril Hammonds, age 64, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024, at his home in Hatfield, Arkansas surrounded by his loved ones. He was born August 15, 1960, in Mena, Arkansas to Thomas Jefferson Hammonds and Edna (Liner) Hammonds. Mr. Joe Sherril Hammonds was known as a "jack of all trades" having worked in many professions during his life; his main two occupations however were as a truck driver and a pipeliner. He enjoyed hunting, supporting his favorite team the Razorbacks, and being with his dog, Tiny. Above all else though, Joe loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, and his beloved wife. Mr. Joe Sherril Hammonds is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Jefferson Hammonds and Edna (Liner) Hammonds, brothers, Glen Hammonds, Wayne Hammonds, Leon Hammonds, Charles Hammonds, and Larry Hammonds. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharan Hammonds; sons, AJ Hammonds, Sherrill Hammonds; daughter, Schanae Rocha; grandchildren, Chloe, Colton, Jase, Macklin, Navy, Avery, Evee, and Owen; brothers, Louis Hammonds, Kenneth Hammonds; sisters, Doris Kesterson, Myra Powell; as well as by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, friends and other family too numerous to mention. Funeral Services for Mr. Joe Sherril Hammonds will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at Beasley-Wood Chapel in Mena, Arkansas. Brother Tim Smedley will be officiating under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Interment will follow the services at Witherspoon Cemetery in Vandervoort, Arkansas. Visitation will be held, Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Beasley-Wood Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas.
