Joe "Nuddy" Hancock, Jr.

Mr. Joe "Nuddy" Hancock, Jr., age 88, beloved husband of 59 1/2 years to the late Mrs. Jessie Mae Fields Hancock, entered into rest on Sunday January 19, 2025 at his home in Trenton, SC.

He is survived by his daughters, Ivonia B. (James) Wright, Ida M. (Roy) Jackson; brother, Nish "Snap" (Alice) Hancock; sisters, Irene Baughman, Betty Franklin; nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by his parents, Joe, Sr. and Beatrice Lamb Hancock; son, Edward Baughman; brother, "Pee Wee" Hancock; and sisters Evelyn Harris and Sissy Baughman. 

"Nuddy" enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, taking care of his chickens and wearing his Liberty Bib Overalls. He was employed for over 35 years at the Vaucluse Mill. "Nuddy" will be deeply missed by his family and all whose lives he touched in the 88 years he had on earth. 

A funeral service honoring his life will be held in the chapel of Napier Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday January 23, 2025 at 2pm with Rev. Steve Hall officiating. The interment will follow at the Vaucluse Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
