I only recently learned of Joe´s passing. He was such a kind man. I arrived at Cardinal O´Hara as a mature teacher, but Joe was always so helpful for all the advice he provided to help me with any tech issue. So sad to learn this news. Prayers for his family.

I´m so so sorry for this loss. I remember meeting Joe only once, but he had such a loving smile. Kristina and Joe were helping me during such a scary time in my life and to hear about their love and to get a glimpse of it was very powerful. I hold Kristina and the beautiful Niko in my heart closely. I pray to take some of the pain away.

My dear Manti, we are so sorry that you left without returning and that you could not find the strength to overcome all the difficulties that befell you. We hope that you will be better up there and that you will find your long-desired peace there. We will miss you every time we think of your smile and of your wonderful soul with which you captivated us all, when we think of all the wonderful days spent with you and all the things you tied us to yourself with. Please accept our deepest condolences.

I met Joe Konecki when I was a teenager still searching for my place in the world. He moderated the tech club at my high school, which was just an excuse for a bunch of us to play video games in the school library after school. Later, I had him as a digital photography teacher and senior retreat moderator and we became fast friends after I graduated in 2011. Unlike so many other faculty members, Joe never saw us as a mass student body but as individuals with unique personalities and valid feelings. He positively impacted the lives of so many of the students that he interacted with and the world is a much lesser place without him.

Joe was a personal mentor to me, and allowed me to help him my senior year at O´Hara to maintain our network and expand technology. I will forever be grateful for his encouragement of my passion for technology that led me to the career I am in today. I hope that peace and light will come to his family during this difficult time. May his memory be a blessing.
