Joe Victor Liserio, a cherished son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, and friend, passed away on December 10, 2023, in his hometown of Corpus Christi, TX. Born on January 28, 1981, to Carrie Cervantes and the late Joe Liserio, Joe's life was a testament to the joy and love he brought to those around him.
Joe was a man of many passions, with a particular love for the world of cinema. His extensive collection of movies was a source of pride and joy, and he could often be found sharing his favorite films with loved ones. Music also played a significant role in Joe's life. His vast collection of tunes was a reflection of his eclectic taste and his love for the art form. Joe's creative spirit shone brightly through his intricate Lego constructions, which were more than just a hobby-they were a display of his patience, attention to detail, and his playful heart.
Above all, Joe cherished the time spent with his friends and family. His warm presence and infectious laughter made every gathering memorable. Joe's ability to connect with people on a genuine level was one of his most endearing qualities, and his absence will leave a void in the many lives he touched.
Joe leaves behind a loving family, his devoted mother, Carrie Cervantes; his sisters, Alicia Liserio and Valerie Liserio-Eike (Paul); his paternal grandfather, Victor Liserio; his aunts, AnnaLisa Pantoja (Jerry), Mary Jane Mondragon (Bobby†), LeaAnn Liserio Puente, and Delia Flores; his niece, Nicole Alayne Liserio; his great-niece, Amiyah; his great-nephews, Prince and Kairo; and numerous cousins who he loved dearly.
He now joins in eternal rest his father, Joe Liserio; his grandmother, Anita Liserio; his maternal grandparents, Jessie and Lupe Cervantes; and his Aunt, Mary Jessie Caube (Larry), who all preceded him in death.
Joe's life was a beautiful mosaic of love, creativity, and friendship. His legacy will continue to live on through the memories he created with those he loved. His family takes comfort in knowing that Joe's kind spirit will always be with them, guiding and inspiring them as they navigate the world without his physical presence.
As we bid farewell to Joe Victor Liserio, we celebrate the life of a man who was truly one of a kind. His laughter, his kindness, and his unwavering love for his family and friends will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Joe, you were a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew you, and your light will continue to shine in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, dear Joe, until we meet again.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Wesley United Methodist Church.
