French Funerals & Cremations - Lomas & EubankJoe P. "JR" Martinez JR, 53, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 3, 2025.
He is survived by his parents, Joe P. "JP" and Simona "Mona" Martinez and by his sister, Sylvia Michelle Martinez and his brother Ronald L. Carter. He had many cherished family members and friends.
He was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, graduating from Albuquerque High School. His family roots originated from Clayton, NM. He served in The United States Navy as a member of The Seabees. He received an Honorable discharge.
He befriended everyone he met. He had an infectious personality, making people smile and laugh. His humor was enjoyed by all. He had a generous heart. He gave regularly to homeless people in his beloved, North Valley. Whether it was clothing, food or just a few dollars, he just wanted to help.
In recent years, he lived with and cared for his parents, having a very close relationship with both. He spent hours talking with his Mom about aliens and pyramids, as well as, working on many home projects with his Dad. He enjoyed going on drives in his new electric car with his parents. He and his sister had a love of going to the movies and watching funny videos together.
He will be truly missed, as he was truly loved. Until we meet again, we love you JR.
