Jennifer Reed Monnheimer ("Jenny"), 56, beloved mother, sister, aunt, and daughter, passed away on September 28, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born on March 26, 1969, in Mount Kisco, New York, to Donald and Charlotte Monnheimer.
Jenny dedicated her life to helping others, spending her long career as a school counselor supporting countless children, many of whom were navigating difficult personal circumstances. Her family, friends, and colleagues knew her for her deep compassion, fierce loyalty, and the gift of a wicked sense of humor.
Her greatest love was her son, Conner. She admired his intelligence, warmth, humor, and independence. Jenny loved sharing their passion for tennis, often joking that she could still beat him in a match long after he'd proven otherwise.
Jenny also found great joy and immense pride in her home, which she curated with care and creativity, reflecting her love of art and beauty. She loved her cats, her garden, and had a lifelong appreciation for cars.
She is survived by her son, Conner Monnheimer-Hsia; her sister, Kate Gottlieb; her brother and sister-in-law, Max and Kelli Monnheimer; her nieces, Madison Monnheimer and Sadie Kingswell; her nephews, Keegan Monnheimer and Vaughn Kingswell; her great-nephew, Silas Reed Fernandez; her aunt, Barbara Carter; her brother Nick Monnheimer; and her father, Donald Monnheimer.
A service honoring Jenny's life will be held on October 10th at 5:00pm at French Funerals - LOMAS, 10500 Lomas Blvd, NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112.
