Joe Frank McMullen, 67, of Lufkin died Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in a local nursing home. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Mr. McMullen was born August 21, 1945 in Lufkin, Texas to the late John Oran and Oma (Coey) McMullen. He had resided in Lufkin for 22 years and worked for Slaughter and Sons for a number of years, before retiring. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Garry Taylor of Huntington; grandsons, Austin Ethridge and Payton Taylor, both of Huntington; and sister-in-law, Nelda McMullen of Lufkin. In addition to his parents, Mr. McMullen was preceded in death by his sister, Willie Mae Nobley; and brother, Johnie McMullen. Memories and condolences may be added at www.carrowayfuneralhome.com.
