Joe Leon Morris, 63, passed away Monday, July 14, 2025 in Graham. Private family graveside will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 9 a.m. in the Morris Family Cemetery in Eliasville. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Joe was born January 3, 1962 in Odessa to the late Jack Lawrence and Maggie Elizabeth (Choate) Morris. Joe was raised on the banks of the Clear Fork in Eliasville and formerly married to Tennya Hamer the mother of his two children, Maggie and Jake. He retired with skills in diesel mechanic, truck driving, welding, fabrication, paint and body work, among various other trades. One may say a “Jack of all trades” or Joe in this case. He enjoyed riding Harley’s, fixing up old cars, drag/hotrods, reading his bible, interesting books, watching westerns, fishing on the Clear Fork and Brazos with his family and chosen family, his buddies. Joe’s treasured accomplishments were his children and buying the place on the river he grew up on so his legacy could live on through his children and their children.
Survivors include: daughter, Maggie Crowther and husband, Kasey; son, Jake Morris and wife, Jaycee; grandchildren, Parker Crowther, Addison Crowther, and Jaxson Morris; girlfriend, Judy Belyeu.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wayne Morris.
