Joseph “Joe” Wesley Patrick, age 81, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024.

Visitation will be Friday, March 8, 2024, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS, and again on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 9:00am until10:00am. A Celebration of Joe’s Life will follow at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Greenfield United Methodist Church Cemetery.

He was born in Jackson, MS to the late J.W. Patrick, Jr. and Loyce Cade Patrick on June 25, 1942. He graduated from Mississippi State University on August 22, 1964.  He was married to Tommye “Tim” Lin Dearing on November 7, 1965 and remained married until her passing.  He spent his life farming doing what he loved doing the most.  He was a longstanding member of Greenfield United Methodist Church.   He loved his family and his community and was well loved by them and all that knew him.  He will be missed by all.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Tim Patrick. Joe is survived by niece Terri Jones, nephew Tommy (Melissa) Dearing; nieces Tammy Cook, Christy (Stacy) McCollum and nephew Kenny (Brandy) Dearing; grandchildren, Jessica (Jacob) Schwan and Jeremy Jones; great-grandchildren Ryleigh and Skyla; brother Steve (Linda) Patrick, and nephews Mike (Sabrena)Patrick and Stevie (Mary Carol) Patrick; and sister Patrice Clack and nieces Davida (Chris) Lovelace and Sha Hammons. He is also survived by several other great nieces and nephews, many friends and loved ones.
