Joe Dan Peek, born on March 18, 1948, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, passed away on January 7, 2025. The cherished son of John Robert Peek and Opal Irene Moore Peek, Joe Dan was raised in Brasher and attended Cumby High School.
He dedicated many years to his career at a local printing company, where he was respected for his reliability and hard work. In December of 1973, Joe Dan married the love of his life, Maria Antonia, and together they built a family filled with love and laughter.
Joe Dan is survived by his loving wife, Maria Antonia Peek; children, Terri Peek, Antonia Pargas, and Joe Dan Peek Jr.; grandchildren, Marianna Guzman, Brianna Guzman, Ivan Chavez, Joe Manuel Peek, Gilbert Peek, Jon Andrew Peek, Lauren Peek, Anthony Pargas, Steven Pargas, Alyssa Gonzalez, Valarie Pargas, and Mark Pargas; several nieces and nephews; and his dear family friend, Albert Villavicencio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Robert Peek and Opal Peek; and siblings, Royce Peek, Bobby Peek, Benny Peek, and Sheila Peek; grandson Alexander Gonzalez.
Joe Dan will be remembered for his kind spirit, loving nature, and the joy he brought to those around him. A special note of gratitude is given to Isabel Peña, who lovingly cared for Joe Dan during his final years.
Joe's departure leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, but his legacy will continue to resonate. His family and friends will carry the memories of his warmth, humor, and generous heart forever.
