Joe Perri Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery on Jul. 31, 2024.
Joe Antonio Perri, age 53, of Mesa, passed away surrounded by his treasured friends and family on July 25, 2024. Joe was born in Mesa on February 3, 1971 to Antonio Perri and Shirley Jean Bernard Perri. He attended Mountain View High School in Mesa and the University of Arizona in Tucson before returning to Mesa to help his parents in the family business.
Joe turned everyday mundane events into adventures and his hobbies reflected his wildly diverse interests. His obsession with making pizza was legendary, and he had the most eclectic music collection imaginable. He was an avid outdoorsman and a pillar of strength to his legion of friends.
Joe's capacity for love was boundless and the love for his friends was everlasting. He married the love of his life, Anne, and they were blessed with 22 years of marriage following an 11 year engagement.
Joe will be remembered as a loving husband, uncle, godfather, friend, son-in-law and brother. He leaves a legacy of kindness, humor, graciousness, generosity and love. We are all better for having known him.
Joe is preceded in death by his father, Tony, and his mother, Shirley. He is survived by his beloved wife, Anne, siblings Patricia, Lisa and Tony; nieces Heather Spear, Harper Casey, and Morgan and Mallory Perri; nephews Anthony Spear and Austin Spear; and his godchildren Kacey Woods, Brady Woods and Ava Lewis.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the Mountain View Cemetery, 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, Arizona 85207.
Donations may be made in his memory to Hospice Of The Valley or by calling 602-530-6992.

I had to go under the knife for brain surgery, and when I woke up I had the crazy dream of harvesting an elk from 5b north. Joe took me into the mountains and crawled me up and down the trails when I could barely walk. I will never forget him.
