Joe Armando Saavedra Jr., 39, of Amarillo, TX passed away September 19, 2025.

Memorial service will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Maple Event Center, 10298 FM 2219, Amarillo, TX 79119. Joe's family asks that you wear Dallas Cowboys attire. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount.

Joe was born December 18, 1985 in Amarillo, TX to Jose Armando Saavedra and JoAnn Lorretta Lucero. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 2004, then married Judith Kay Reyes on August 6, 2006. Joe worked in several different capacities throughout his life; he loved helping people and never met a stranger. Joe was a member of The Door Christian Fellowship Church since he was 7 years old. He loved spending time with his family, especially around the holidays, Christmas was his favorite.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Florencio and Beneranda Lucero, and Juan Saavedra.

Joe is survived by his wife of 19 years, Judy Saavedra; daughter, Janae Saavedra; parents, Joe, and JoAnn Saavedra; sister, Jennifer Jalomo (Larry); brother Jeremiah Saavedra (Priscilla); nieces, Zariah, Serenity, and Gihanna; nephew, Josiah; many other nieces and nephews on Judy’s side that he loved and all of his church family, volleyball family, and dear friends.
