Joe M. Suarez, age 81, a lifelong resident of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on May 21, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Joe was born on September 25, 1943, in Riviera, Texas, to Felix and Delfina Suarez. He was a proud graduate of Riviera High School and later attended Del Mar Tech, where he honed the skills that would lead to a fulfilling career as a draftsman. Joe also owned and operated Ricardo Butane Gas, serving his community with dedication and integrity.
A man of strong faith, Joe was a member of St. Gertrude's Catholic Church. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life-fishing, hunting, camping, and barbecuing surrounded by family and friends.
Joe's greatest pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Mary P. Suarez; his four sons, Dr. Jimmy (Sarah) Suarez, Mike (Maritza) Suarez, John (Rosie) Suarez, and Jesse (Ania) Suarez, all of Kingsville; and ten cherished grandchildren: Mikey, Orlie, Lucas, Vicente, Mia, John Paul, Emily, Miles, Marcos, and Sophia; two brothers-in-law, Richard (Janie) Perales, and Susano (Elena) Perales, both of Houston. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, and Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday and Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, with Father Bob officiating. He will be laid to rest at Riviera Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Mikey, Orlie, Lucas, Vicente, John Paul, and Miles. Honorary pallbearers are Marcus, Kent, and Jesse.
