Joe Arnold Vines, 91, a retired general store owner, died Monday, September 2, 2024, at the University Medical Center in Jackson.
Visitation is 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Wilcox Funeral Home. Services are 11:00 am Friday, Sept. 6, 2024, at Corinth Baptist Church with Bro. Warren Hunt officiating. Interment is in Corinth Cemetery. Wilcox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Vines, a native of Leake County, was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and the Singleton Riding Club. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Virginia (Jean) Vines; his parents, Elzie & Essie Vines; and a sister, Lillie Mae Collins.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Cindy Cooper (Billy) and Jan Parker (George); a sister, Faye Helton; 4 grandchildren, Britt Cooper (Karen), Clayton Cooper (Celeste), Joseph Parker (Mallory), and Jacob Parker (Rebecca); 8 great-grandchildren, Evie Adams, Sadie Cooper, Emerald Cooper, Chloe Cooper, Chase Parker, Tuff Parker, Jax Parker, and Sarah Wade Parker.
Pallbearers are his grandsons, Danny McGivney, and Ricky Turner.
