Joel Rosenfeld Obituary
Born in Brooklyn in 1936, Joel lead a full, happy and successful life side by side with the love of his life, Marilyn Geist Rosenfeld for more than 66 years. Together they built a wonderful life filled with worldwide travel, dining, good friends, shows and most of all family.
A dedicated family man, Joel was a wonderful husband who adored and cherished Marilyn. Together they had three daughters, Jill (Gary Lichtman), Robin (Gary Price) and Dana (partner Franco Santangelo). He was the proud Poppy of Abby & Adam, Brooke & Adam, Evan & Brittany, Joshua and Andrew. He was the beloved "Poppy Joel" to Gavin, Hailey, Ryder, Sydney, Peyton and Ilya.
A University of Bridgeport graduate, Joel was Senior Partner at Mintz Rosenfeld, an Associate Professor at NYU and Fordham, a Tax Consultant to the New York Times and so much more. He was a recognized expert in Real Estate Taxation teaching and lecturing throughout the United States. He authored a Real Estate Taxation textbook that is used in graduate school programs in many colleges and universities. He never fully retired, loving what he did.
Joel will be remembered as a wonderful husband, amazing father, loving grandfather, great grandfather, brother in law, uncle and loyal friend.
His brilliant business acumen was only surpassed by his dedication to his family. He will be deeply missed.
Services are Wednesday, 10:30AM at Robert Schoem's Menorah Chapel, W-150 Route 4, Paramus, NJ.
