Joelle R. (Childs) McCune went home to be with her lord and savior on July 24, 2025 at the age of 71, at Massena Memorial Hospital. Calling hours will be held on July 28, 2025 form 12:30pm to 1:30 pm at the Frary Funeral Home, Malone. Graveside services will be held on July 28, 2025 at North Bangor Cemetery at 2pm with Pastor Bently McQinn officiating.

Joelle was born on December 17, 1953 in Malone, NY to the late Roy and Alice (Todd) Childs as their youngest girl. She graduated Franklin Academy in 1972 and attended North Country Community College for nursing. Joelle found love in doing private child care for Dr. Wendy White for many years. Joelle met the love of her life, Charles McCune and they were happily married on August 17, 1996. From the time they met they would be out and about traveling around the north country listening to music and being around people.

Joelle is survived by husband Charles McCune, her brothers; Gerald and Peggy, Gene and June, Robert and Ellen, Gordon and Susan, John and Sharon, Walter, and Lynn, her two sisters; Gail Cook and Gloria Foster along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Roy and Alice Childs, her brother Delbert, her two sisters Carolyn Childs and Shirley Costello, along with her brothers-in-law Dale Cook, John Costello and Marvin Foster and a sister-in-law JoAnne Childs.

Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Joelle to the Cooks Corner Wesleyan Church, 17 Avery Road, Brushton, NY 12916.
