Johann Heuchert Obituary
Sugar Land, TX 1938-2023
Johann (Hans) Heuchert, 85, of Hot Springs Village, AR, passed away on December 16, 2023. He was born July 26, 1938 in Alexandria, Egypt to Friedrich Heuchert and Klara Heuchert (Bauer). At the age of 20 he left Germany for a five year adventure in Australia, where he soon met his future wife, Sonja Kalinowski. In 1961 they married in Sydney, Australia, and in1968, they moved to Green Bay, WI, with their son Mark.
Hans founded Perini America and ran it for nearly 20 years. He spent many weekends with his fellow Bluffers in Bailey's Harbor, WI. It was there that he started his first Hansifest as a way to celebrate family and friends.
In 1994 Hans and Sonja moved to their beloved Hot Springs Village, where they lived on Lake Coronado for 30 years. Together they traveled the world, visiting all 7 continents. Many thanks to the close friends they made in the village, who stayed by him through his life. And thanks to the friends and family who have offered Hans love and support.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Sonja (dec. 9/05/23). Survivors include his son Mark (wife Laura), two grandchildren Christian and Klara; also his sister Traudl Zimmerman and brother Friedrich Heuchert, as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Germany.
