Sonja Heuchert Obituary
Sonja was born February 23, 1939 in Hamburg, Germany to Gerta and Hans Kalinowski. At the young age of 21, Sonja left Germany for a five year adventure in Australia. It was there that she met her future husband, Johann Karl Heuchert. In 1961 they married in Sydney, Australia. Only a few years after moving back to Germany, Sonja and Johann moved to Green Bay, WI in 1968. There they raised their son, Mark Heuchert. In 1994 they moved to the beloved Hot Springs Village and found paradise on Lake Coronado.
Many thanks to the close friends they made in the village, who stayed by Sonja through her life. And thank you to the Visiting Angels who allowed them to stay at home for as long as possible,the Hospice nurses (who are angels in disguise), and Capital M Homes for taking such good care of her.
Survivors include her son, Mark (wife Laura); grandchildren Christian and Klara; and nieces Sonja Wormbach and Sabine Droegemueller.

Sonja and Hans spent many years of friendsip with us. We always had a delightful cltural time. We got to know their son and daughter in law who participated in immigration issues with us in the League of
womem Voters They helped bridge the language barrier in our programs for new immigrant s. It was a delightful t ime for all of us. Sonja will be missed but loved in our memories of US together. Mark and Laura have wonderful children whom were very special - They all have good roots and will always be important citizens. They are all loved/ Helen
