John J. Arnold passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 23, 2023 at the age of 76.
John was born to William and Louise Arnold in Philadelphia and grew up in Woodlynne, NJ. He raised his family in Cinnaminson, NJ and retired to Southampton, NJ in 2007. He was the
beloved husband of 54 years to Jeanne D. (née Harding) and loving father of Jeff (Kristin) Arnold, Jackie (Tim) Curtis, Jamie Arnold, Dorothea (Dominic) Scalise and Angel Hernandez. He was a cherished Grandpop to Olivia, Jack, Lilah, William, Drew, Tommy and Ella. He is survived by his sister Cecilia M. Eldridge and brother William G. Arnold.
John was employed as a Steamfitter for Local Union 420 in Philadelphia for over 50 years. He volunteered for many years at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Cinnaminson, NJ. John was a dedicated Eagles and Phillies fan. After retiring, he and Jeanne enjoyed travelling but his favorite trip was the annual Sea Isle City vacation. Most importantly, John especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 31st from 8:30am to 10:00am at Givnish Funeral Home, 1200 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ. John's Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 2500 Branch Pike, Cinnaminson, NJ. Interment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park followed by a luncheon at the Merion in Cinnaminson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any of the following charities: American Red Cross, Make a Wish Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
