John Ten Berge

John Ten Berge Sr.
Passed away peacefully on Sunday June 30, 2024 at his home with his loving wife by his side. Born in Weehawken, NJ, John grew up in Hoboken before moving to Bordentown in 2005.
In January of 1966 John was drafted into The United States Army serving in France and Germany until Dec. 1967. Then he and Alice were engaged in Jan. 1968 and married in June 1968 and had just celebrated their 56th Anniversary in June. He was employed with a glass company in North Bergen and then finally in1983 he worked for Media Mastr CPI; retiring in 2008 after over twenty years dedicated service.
John was an avid fisherman, hunter who loved Christmas and his cats. He was a proud pa-rishioner of St. Mary's Church and a member of Bordentown Township Senior Citizen's Club.
The son of the late Theodore and Anna ten Berge, he is predeceased by his granddaughter Elise ten Berge, his siter, Anna Alcoser. John is survived by his loving wife, Alice ten Berge, his sons and daughters-in-law, John Jr. and Laurie ten Berge, William and Amy ten Berge, his grandchildren, Caroline, Lily, Phoebe and Ivy, his sister and brother-in-law, Maria and Hector Clavell, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11a.m. July 6, 2024, at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church located at 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ. Calling hours will be held at the Bordentown Home for Funerals, 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown, NJ on Saturday morn-ing 9:00 ~ 10:15 am. Burial will be private.
