Beth A. Bell July 10, 1947 – July 27, 2025
Beth A. Bell, 78, of Columbus, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on July 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Trenton, NJ, Beth grew up in Columbus then Bordentown Township before settling in Columbus in 2002. A proud graduate of Trenton Cathedral High School, she went on to fulfill her calling in nursing by attending Helene Fuld School of Nursing, graduating in 1967.
Beth was a registered nurse for 57 years, dedicating more than 25 of those years to public service as a Supervisor with the New Jersey Department of Health. After retiring, her passion for helping others continued as she founded her own business, Professionals for Quality, working closely with doctors' offices, hospitals, and nursing homes to ensure high standards of patient care.
A devoted Catholic, Beth prayed the rosary daily for her family and friends. Her faith, compassion, and sense of purpose were central to her life. She found joy in Disney vacations, relaxing days in LBI, Scrabble and Rummy games, Team in Training marathons, Colonial Williamsburg trips, time spent at book club, European adventures, and her many travels-but her greatest love was always her family. Beth always looked forward to decorating and hosting holidays, passing memorable traditions onto her children and grandchildren. As the cherished matriarch, Beth led with grace, generosity, and an open heart, always ready to help anyone in need.
She was the beloved daughter of the late John J. Jr. and Alvah Scully and was predeceased by her brother, Randall J. Scully (surviving sister-in-law Natalie Scully).
Beth is survived by her devoted husband, Daryl Bell; her loving children, Dawn (Mark) Mabin, Chris (Maureen) Bell, Denise (Nathan) Adams, and Maribeth (Chris) McDonald; her treasured grandchildren Kiley, Michaela, and Luke Mabin; Madison, Conor, and Tyler Bell; Colin and Travis Adams; Grant and Dakota McDonald; her sister, Sharon Scully; her brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Lexer Scully; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and beloved friends.
Beth's warmth, strength, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
