Dennis Adam Spundarelli Sr., 76, of Bordentown, NJ, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family. A proud and lifelong Bordentonian, Dennis-affectionately known as Denny-lived a life filled with love, laughter, and purpose.

Born on July 11, 1949, Denny was the cherished son of the late Gus and Ada Spundarelli. He graduated from Temple University with a degree in Psychology and later earned a Master's in Business from Rider University. Ambitious and driven, Denny made history as the youngest-ever Director of Health and Human Services for the State of New Jersey, where he served with distinction for many years. After retiring from public service, he continued to share his talents and energy as a valued member of the team at Old York Country Club.

At the heart of Denny's life was his love story with his high school sweetheart and soulmate, Patricia (née Kelly). Together, they built a beautiful life spanning more than five decades, filled with adventure, joy, and deep family bonds. They raised two children and traveled the world, creating memories that will live on for generations.

Denny's warmth and charisma were impossible to miss. His infectious, unmistakable laugh could light up any room, and he had a remarkable gift for making strangers feel like old friends. He lived life with enthusiasm and curiosity, diving wholeheartedly into hobbies like gardening, wine-making, biking, golfing, and cooking. He was a man who savored the little things-good food, good wine, and good company-and who never stopped showing up for the people he loved.

A familiar face and friendly presence in his community, Denny was a longtime member of the Bordentown Elks Lodge #2085 and a regular at Men's Gourmet, where his spirit and stories will be dearly missed.

Denny is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Patricia; his daughter, Deana, and her husband James Stroebel; his son, Adam, and his wife Courtney Spundarelli; and six adored grandchildren: Maisy, Poppy, Mack, Max, Niall, and Frankie Elizabeth. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Dolores and George Tatter; many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who were like family. His legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew him.

A Celebration of Denny's Life will be held on Monday October 6, 2025, 11:30 am at the Bordentown Home for Funerals, 40 Crosswicks Street, Bordentown, NJ. Calling hours will be held Monday morning from 10:00 am until the time of Service.
