Suzanne Theresa Fink, age 82, of
Bordentown, NJ, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, November 3rd, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Hamilton, NJ. Born in Trenton, Suzanne attended Cathedral High School and was a longtime resident of Bordentown before moving to Brookdale in 2019.
Suzanne was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother-an aunt and a friend to many-known for her quiet strength and unwavering love. She raised four children-Philip, Timothy, Amy, and Michael-with patience, kindness, and a deep sense of care. In addition to being a homemaker, Suzanne also worked as a teachers aid in the Bordentown Regional School district. Her calm presence, quiet encouragement, and natural ability to make others feel seen made her a quiet force in the lives of so many students. Suzanne was also an active parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Bordentown where she found comfort in faith and music.
More than anything, Suzanne treasured time with her grandchildren. Their laughter, stories, and milestones brought her immeasurable joy, and she always gave them her full attention.
How grateful we are for all the traditions Suzanne brought us. Friday pizza nights were never just about the pizza. They were about the people around the table, the laughter, and the friends who'd "just pop in." Suzanne created something lasting in those moments: a tradition that brought us together and made everyone feel welcome.
She brought that same care to birthdays, holidays, and the infamous annual Memorial Day picnic, each one thoughtfully prepared and filled with joy. At Christmas, Suzanne's love of Johnny Mathis and her homemade cookies filled the house with warmth. Her traditions became the heartbeat of our family, and we are forever grateful for the memories she created.
Later in life, Suz and her husband Phil enjoyed traveling and spending time with a close-knit group of friends. Together, they shared adventures, celebrated one another's lives, and found joy in simple gatherings and lasting companionship. Daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Tobias, she is predeceased by her loving husband of 43 years, Philip J. Fink, her son, Timothy Fink, her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Maureen Tobias. She is survived by her children, Philip and Maureen Fink, Amy and Derek Seda, Michael Fink and his dear companion Barbara Schulz, her grandchildren Matthew and his wife Jordan, Emily, David and Victoria, her Sisters and brother-in-law, Cecelia Bayless, Clare Murnane, Maryann and Ted DeLucia, her Brother and Sister-in-law, Andrew and Christa Tobias, and several nieces and nephews.
Suzanne's legacy lives on in the traditions she created the love she gave, and the family she nurtured. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. To honor Suzanne's love for animals and her faith, memorial contributions may be made to either of the following:
