John William Berry, age 94, went home on February 1, 2024, to be with his Lord and Savior.  Mr. Berry was affectionately known as “JW” or “Bill”.  He was born in Nashville and moved to Hendersonville in 1970, where he lived until the time of his passing.

JW was known for his work ethic over the years as he started “JW Berry Plumbing Co.” in 1962.  After moving to Hendersonville, he became known as the plumber to the stars!  He loved telling everyone he started the plumbing company with a toolbox and $100 bill.

He loved lake life, whether it was riding his wet bike, water skiing with his family or fishing with his wife.

He was later known for building and sharing his birdhouses. He loved helping others and was a friend to all who knew him.  JW and his wife, Louise were members of Hendersonville First Baptist Church.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 74 years, Louise. Children: Diane Kidd (Tim), Richard Berry (Karen), Vickey Albert (Kelly), Kevin Berry (Susan Deering).

Grandchildren: Dustin Kidd (Jazmin), Ryan Berry (Renee), Cameron Berry (Jessika), Landon Albert, Josh Berry (Ginny) He also leaves behind 7 great grandchildren and one sister, Betty Lewis.
