In 1975, he was appointed quality engineer at Abbott Labs in the Hospital Products Division. The late 1970s saw Jack taking an active role with the American Society for Quality Control serving as chairman of the Chicago section and later director of education. His love of his family and loyalty to his friends was unparalleled.
He had a wonderful heart filled with humility and generosity. He always saw the best in people. He was always the optimist and always the one to challenge the status quo and think outside the box.
