John E. Bourque, aged 64, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025, in Leominster, Massachusetts, surrounded by the love and warmth of his family. Born on June 8, 1960, in Fitchburg, John was a beacon of kindness, friendliness, and love throughout his life.
John's journey began as the beloved son of Teresa and Raymond Bourque. His early years in Fitchburg were filled with the joy of family life, which set the foundation for the man he would become. John's heart found its match in Mona Fortin, and together they nurtured a loving marriage spanning 41 incredible years. Their union was blessed with two children, Ryan Bourque, Jordan Bourque and her partner Danny Durso, who in turn gave John the cherished titles of grandfather to Travis, Sadie, Samantha, and Hunter.
John's legacy is also lovingly carried on by his siblings, Anne Marie Bianchin and partner Richard Pezzee, Elizabeth Wiesman and husband Richard, William Bourque and wife Maire, and Robert Bourque and wife Jennifer. His extended family includes brothers-in-law John Fortin and wife Nora, Mark Fortin and partner Tammy, and Gary Fortin, along with sisters-in-law Lisa Fortin and Beth Sidilau and partner Kurt Grundberg. The family web extends to numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom brought immense joy to John's life.
Before his peaceful passing, John was predeceased by his parents, Teresa and Raymond Bourque, and his in-laws, Pauline and Raymond Fortin, as well as many cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins. They paved the way for him to join them in eternal rest, leaving behind a remarkable legacy.
John graduated Monty Tech Electrical program, Class of 1978. His professional life was marked by 25 years of dedicated service as a Branch Manager at Needham Electric Supply. His commitment to his work was paralleled only by his involvement in his community, where he was respected and admired by colleagues and associates alike. Residing in Leominster for over 39 years, John was the embodiment of a life well-lived.
His love of life and infectious laughter ensured there was never a dull moment in his presence. Those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him will remember him for the many wonderful memories he helped create.
John's interests and hobbies were as generous and vibrant as his personality. He had a love for riding his Harley Davidson with friends and took part in many charity rides. John also enjoyed listening to music and playing the guitar. His zest for life was evident to all who knew him, and his absence will be felt profoundly in the community he so dearly loved.
Above all, John will be remembered for the way he made others feel. His kind spirit, friendly demeanor, and loving nature were his greatest gifts to the world. John's ability to connect with people was unmatched, making everyone he met feel like family, including the many friends he made at Davita Dialysis and throughout his life. Farewell, John, until we meet again. Your legacy of kindness and love will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew you.

I remember John from High School at Monty Tech, his contribution to the Track and Field Team was superb, as well as Soccer. As a fellow student he supported my pursuit of going on to College when few from Monty Tech were going on to University and College. John your going to be missed
