John Edward Boyd (Hoolie Pop) passed on December 3, 2022, due to injuries sustained during a senseless crime. He was born and loved on May 28, 1988, in Cleveland, Ohio to biological parents Marlana Boyd (Fitz) and Robert Eschelbacher. Loved like a son by the late Venida Boyd and the late Renee Boyd, Theresa Armstrong, Barbara Cummings, Joe and Melissa Cummings, and many more.
John married his high school sweetheart Nekiey Cummings in 2008, after many years of young love, his union brought six beautiful children into this world. His Bear, Bubba, Joshie Lee, Sissy, Bubby, and Fish. Throughout the good times and the bad, John prided himself on his babies above all other things; it shined through during the brief time he had here. We will continue to cherish them and see more of him shine through.
John brought joy and light to the lives of the people he touched during his time with us. He had a heart of gold and loved to make everyone laugh with his goofy sense of humor, always being the life of the party. He enjoyed riding his Harley and going hunting with the boys. John loved being a father and husband. His wife, children, and family were his everything.
With anguish, John is survived by his wife, Nekiey Cummings; his children, Farrah Boyd, Adryian Boyd, Joshua Boyd, Faithlynn Boyd, Brycin Boyd, Felicity (McKinley) Boyd, and Tilyr Koch (Bird); siblings and in laws Bobbie Sue, Bobby, Chris, Michael Eschelbacher, Joshua (Kayla), Laten (Bubby), Amber, Jesica, Tony Caldwell (Danielle), Christina Armstrong, Travis, Rowdy, Autumn, Boone, and Jennifer Cummings. He is also cherished in memory by many cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. John will be missed dearly. This paper can never hold the names of all the people that loved Hoolie, but we can all hold him in our hearts.
Also do not forget Jolene, he loved her too.
