John William Boyd (61) of Worcester, MA passed away on Friday August 15, 2025, with his family by his side after giving his all during a courageous battle at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut. John was born in Worcester, MA on August 7th, 1964. John graduated from Doherty Memorial High School in 1982. He spent years as a Union Roofer for Local 33 Greenwood Industries. In 2017, he went on to start his own company, Home Improvement Network located right here in Worcester. John will be remembered for his humor, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family. He enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking for family and friends. He also found peace in the simple joys of life like soaking up the sun. Of all blessings in his life, nothing meant more to him than his loyal companion/dog Lola. Above all, his heart belonged to his wife Kerri. Childhood sweethearts and best friends forever, their love was the foundation of his life. Together, they built a beautiful family raising three boys John, Matthew, and Nicholas. His boys were his pride and joy. He lived for them and loved them endlessly.
In addition to his wife Kerri, John is survived by his three sons all of Worcester, John Boyd Jr., Matthew Boyd and daughter in law Kaylee, and Nicholas Boyd and daughter in law Gianna. His siblings; Bruce Chamberlain of Worcester, MA, Debra Larson of Virginia, Minton Boyd and his wife Mary of Connecticut, Jeff Boyd of South Carolina, Jamie Katinas and her husband Stephen of Sutton, MA and sister-in-law Lynda Boyd of Worcester, MA. His in-laws; James Brodin and Mark Brodin both of Worcester, MA, Derek Brodin of Winthrop, MA, and Kim Catalina of Worcester, MA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a large extended family that will greatly miss him. He was predeceased by his parents Minton and Nancy Boyd, brother Edwin Boyd, his father and mother-in-law Gail and James Brodin both of Worcester, MA, and sister-in-law Kristin Brodin of Worcester, MA.
John gave everything in his fight, and while his absence leaves a void, his spirit remains watching over his family. He will be guiding and protecting us as our greatest guardian angel. John will be missed beyond measure, we love you.
