John P. Briand JR.

John P. Briand, Jr. – of Chelmsford, died peacefully on July 14th at the age of sixty-nine. Beloved husband of Linnea A. (Henderson) Briand. He was an alumnus of Austin Preparatory High School and Boston University. A proud father, he is survived by John P. Briand III and his wife, Jennifer, of Rolesville, NC, as well as Robert H. Briand and his wife, Kate, of Westminster. He was a devoted grandfather to John "Jack" P. Briand IV, Abigail D. Briand, and the soon-to-arrive baby Clark, who is expected in just a few weeks. Dear brother of Janet P. Briand-McGowan and her husband Michael P. McGowan of Winchester. Throughout his life, he welcomed several rescue dogs into his home, with Coda being his most recent companion. To honor his legacy of compassion, donations may be made in his memory to Great Dog Rescue New England. Funeral arrangements are private and are under the direction of the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn.
