John William Britt, III, age 51, of Rome, GA, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at a local hospital.
Mr. Britt was born in Rome, GA on October 12, 1973, son of the late John William Britt, Jr. and the late Charlotte Cadle Britt. He was a lifelong member of Fellowship Church. John graduated from West Rome High School, earned his bachelor's degree from Shorter University, and completed some graduate work at Jacksonville State University. He was a reader, and he loved attending Dragon Con with his friends. He loved watching and reading Sci Fi, especially Star Trek and Star Wars.
Survivors include his sisters, Donna Bojo (Jim) and Janice Steed (Barry); his niece and nephew, Jennifer Starr (Scott), and Brian Bojo (Jenny); his great nieces and nephews, Ashlyn Evans (Val), Haley, Owen and Skylar Starr, Mary Kate, Claire and Tucker Bojo.
Graveside and interment service will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 12:00 PM, at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Brady Fortenberry officiating.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, on Wednesday at 11:30am and include Brian Bojo, Jim Bojo, Tucker Bojo, Dennis Johnston, Barry Steed, and Jeff Wigley.
